Muhammad Jalal - Host of The Thinking Muslim Podcast

Muhammad Jalal is a lecturer in Politics and is the founder of The Thinking Muslim. He delivers a regular course for young Muslims exploring the thoughts of Islam and Liberalism, and is currently working on developing content on the same subject for the Sapience Institute. He writes for numerous online journals including Traversing Tradition and CAGE. He can be found on twitter @jalalayn.

Riaz Hasan - Researcher and Data Analytics

Riaz Hassan is a writer and a co-host on The Thinking Muslim podcast with a particular focus on Economics. He has previously written on China, Mutations in Capitalism, Artificial Intelligence and Short Selling from an Islamic perspective. He has worked in a senior capacity for over 20 years in consultancy and innovation. He has a Bachelors degree from The University of Warwick and a Masters from University College London.

Imam Ahaz Atif - Researcher

Mawlana Ahaz B. Atif is a graduate of the seven-year 'Alimiyyah program at Darul Uloom Zakariyya, South Africa. He further specialized in Arabic literature, poetry, and translation. He is currently serving as an imam at Atlanta, Georgia while working toward a Bachelor's in Middle East Studies at Georgia State University. He hopes to directly explore and research classical Islamic works to help develop Islamic thought as an alternative to liberalism.

Yessica Johanna Rodriguez - Researcher

Yessica, a Colombian Muslim living in Bogota, is a candidate for Msc in Global Public Policy online at SOAS. She is also pursuing a bachelor's degree in Islamic Sciences at the Islamic University of Latin America. She's interested in Islamic history and Islamic education.

Johaer Jilani - Researcher

Johaer Jilani is a graduate with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Philosophy and Biology from the University of Pennsylvania. He is currently pursuing a medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine. He has an interest in Islamic political movements and American politics, and he is passionate about community work and organizing.

Khadijah Rajah - Researcher

Khadijah is in her final year studying Law at the LSE and looking to complete a masters  focussing on the South Asian and Middle Eastern diaspora.

Ahmed Serag - Marketing

Ahmed Serag, an Egyptian Canadian analyst with experience in market research and analytics

Yusra Zainuddin - Editor

Yusra graduated in philosophy and is currently studying the traditional Islamic sciences.

Musab Muhammad - Administrator

Musab studied IT at university, and is currently working in the tech sector in London. He is involved in the administrative side of Thinking Muslim.
